Sr. Mechanical Engineer (Engineer III)

The Senior Mechanical Engineer provides expert-level mechanical engineering support throughout all phases of aerospace product development—from concept and design through production and qualification. Responsible for electronic packaging design, 3D CAD modeling (Solid Works), and advanced Finite Element Analysis (ANSYS) for structural and thermal performance. Leads mechanical design, testing, and documentation to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. Collaborates across disciplines to drive technical solutions, process improvements, and risk management activities.

Proficient in 3D CAD, preferably Solid Works. Proficient in Finite Element Analysis (FEA), preferably ANSYS. Ability to apply a systematic and analytical approach to problem solving. Electronic Packaging Design of Aerospace Hardware. CAD design, 3D and 2D (sheet metal, machined parts, plastic parts, castings). Drawing packages (including 2D CAD drawings). Advanced knowledge of FEA structural analysis and thermal analysis tools.

Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance. Design to mechanical requirements. Solves technical problems using a combination of experience, judgment, and precedents. Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to drive tasks to completion. Assets:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
