Our Automation & Digitalization team has an immediate opportunity for an Engineer located in Tucson, AZ. You will work collaboratively with project teams to optimize industrial processes through advanced automation, digitalization, and control technologies, including model predictive control, machine learning, data analytics, expert systems, digital twins, and dynamic process simulation. You will be an integral member of our on-site team, supporting customer process control systems maintenance and optimization activities.

What You Will Be DoingResponsibilities include:
- Evaluating operating processes for improvements
- Collaborating with the digital transformation team to design APC solutions
- Developing and maintaining PLC/DCS programs
- Configuring and troubleshooting networking and communication systems
- Using virtual machine technology for simulation and testing
- Supporting commissioning, startup, training, and ongoing operations
- Assisting with instrumentation assessments, calibration, and optimization

What We're Looking ForEssential skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechatronics, computer, chemical, or mining engineering; or engineering physics
- At least 1 year of experience in automation design, PLC/DCS programming, and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with mining operations is advantageous
- Resourcefulness, self-management, and teamwork skills
- Strong communication skills
- Problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment
- Legal work entitlement in the US
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (20-60%)
Additional valued skills:
- Proficiency with Python and SQL
- Experience with advanced process control, MPC, and process modeling
- Instrumentation and electrical troubleshooting
- Experience with Rockwell/Allen Bradley PLCs and OPC tools
