The Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) organization is currently hiring an Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) for STORM BREAKER MODS, Tucson, AZ location. ASDS IPTL roles provide an exciting and challenging environment, offering the opportunity to lead multi-disciplinary teams and deliver innovative solutions for our customers.
In this role, you will apply the Systems V engineering life cycle and collaborate with engineering disciplines, Chief Engineers, Chief Technologists, and the customer to ensure the development and production of high-performing systems that meet the needs of our warfighters. As the Storm Breaker MODS IPTL, the selected candidate will manage the development, integration, qualification, and transition to production of MODS hardware, ensuring all efforts remain on schedule and within budget.
This role requires leading proposal activities and developing Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for production and engineering tasks, while collaborating closely with hardware, software, and production teams across the program. The IPTL will oversee major qualification and production bridge‑buy efforts including FTTT Encoder, CAS CCA, TC/ETL, SAL ASIC, and the Safe and Arm Device (SAD) Service Life Extension. Additional responsibilities include sustaining support, staffing coordination, and proactive assessment of processes for improvements, obsolescence mitigation, and optimization opportunities.
This is an onsite role located in Tucson, AZ.
For onsite roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
What You Will Do- Manage a multidiscipline team consisting of electrical, mechanical, software, and system engineers, and support personnel.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and ensure knowledge transfer across IPTLs.
- Provide status and technical updates to program management, chief engineers, customers, and other key stakeholders.
- Act as a Control Account Manager (CAM) for the IPTL, proactively monitoring and controlling cost and schedule to ensure compliance with program schedules, cost targets, and performance objectives.
- Drive timely execution of engineering scope to address design challenges and ensure alignment of priorities with the program and prime hardware/software team.
- Mentor engineers and share program process knowledge to build team capabilities.
- Manage priorities and workloads for the development projects.
- Lead development, integration, qualification, and transition‑to‑production activities for Storm Breaker MODS hardware.
- Ensure the Technical Data Package (TDP) is accurately reviewed and released in a timely manner. The TDP includes models, drawings and other design documents.
- Participate in proposal efforts, developing estimates, collaborating with program managers and chief engineers, and representing the test equipment team to the customer.
