The selected candidate will have an opportunity to be part of a large Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) organization in the role of Principal Specialist, Health & Safety department in Tucson, Arizona. The selected candidate must be a self-starter, energetic and able to work in a fast-paced collaborative team environment.

This ideal candidate will have relevant safety experience with strength in developing and implementing creative injury reduction programs or campaigns. The candidate should demonstrate a track record or continuous improvement for safety programs. Candidates should have strong communications, interpersonal skills to influence internal and external groups including engineers, factory line employees and management.

• Coordinate with business partners for EH&S concerns regarding facilities and employee practices.
• May have responsibility for facilities and/or medical at the site.
• Organize and maintain EH&S policies to achieve and maintain compliance with regulations.
• Manage relationships across other specialized departments to achieve and maintain compliance with EH&S regulations and RTX requirements.
• Under the direction of the Safety Manager support and implement safety programs including, but not limited to, contractor safety, confined spaces, Job Hazard Assessment, electrical safety, lockout/tagout (LOTO), fall protection, machine guarding, powered industrial vehicles, cranes/hoist, training, fire & life safety, and others as assigned by management.
• Be a technical resource to support the EH&S Management of Change through design reviews of our facilities, processes, and products by interpreting and applying OSHA, EPA, DOT, NIOSH, ANSI, NFPA, IFC, IBC and other applicable regulations and standards.
• Monitor, administer, evaluate, and coordinate company EH&S programs to ensure a safe workplace.
• Develop and advise employee workplace programs related to safety.
• Coordinate confirmation of policies and programs in accordance with industry and government regulations.
