Standard Missile 3 Missile On-site Program Quality Engineer (PQE)

Our Standard Missile 3 Missile On-site Program Quality Engineer (PQE) in the Naval Power (NP) Strategic Business Unit, will support Quality initiatives at our Tucson, AZ location. In this role, you'll drive a robust quality culture, practices, and collaboration efforts. As the primary quality interface for the product Integrated Product Team (IPT), you'll be responsible for ensuring the program meets all Quality & Mission Assurance requirements.
This includes coordinating with functional Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and overseeing scope of work through all integrated product development phases, from design to production and sustainment. You'll be the customer's advocate internal to the team, ensuring we meet our obligations and expectations.
What You Will Do :
- Develop partnerships with senior managers, IPTs, customers, and quality functions of the program team to define steps necessary to implement proactive quality strategies that shape Raytheon's ability to become the provider of choice.
- Engage on both strategic and tactical levels, focusing on quality, cost and schedule performance, early engagement, influencing and providing differentiating quality value to program teams and customers.
- Generation of new CORE (Customer Oriented Result and Excellence), CoPQ (Cost of Poor Quality) projects to reduce costs/increase efficiency of the Stinger program.
- Monitor / lead root cause corrective action (RCCA) and FRACAS activities for systemic issues and to ensure extensive RCCA.
- Implement Advanced Product Quality Planning in accordance with AS9145, as applicable.
Qualifications You Must Have :
- Typically requires a bachelor's degree and a minimum of two (2) years of prior relevant experience.
- Working experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
- Working experience leading teams in failure analysis, root cause analysis, corrective and preventative action.
- Working experience in providing technical program support for manufacturing and/or design processes.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
