Title :
Process Engineer
Location:
Greater Phoenix, AZ Area
Duration : 6 months
Rate: $45/hr - $52/hr on W2
Role:- Initiate, maintain, and enhance manufacturing systems to improve process control, finished-goods quality, safety, and operational efficiency.
- Provide hands-on engineering support for projects from conception through production, including equipment installation, startup, qualification, and process improvements.
- Develop processes for new and existing plastic injection molds.
- Design, execute, and analyze engineering studies and process evaluations.
- Collaborate with engineering, management, site and corporate teams, facilities, customers, and vendors to develop equipment specifications and process improvements.
- Assist with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic design modifications.
- Coordinate validations, plant and capital projects, project documentation, timelines, resources, and costs.
- Investigate tooling and process issues, recommend new product and process improvements, and train personnel on special equipment.
- Support Lean Sigma and continuous improvement efforts to reduce scrap, cycle times, waste, and manufacturing costs.
- Ensure plant, machinery, tooling, and processes operate at optimal performance while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- At least three years of plastic injection mold process engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on process engineering and manufacturing project experience from conception through production.
- Experience with process development for new and existing molds.
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Experience with equipment installation, startup, qualification, validation, and process evaluations.
- Engineering studies, data analysis, troubleshooting, and process optimization skills.
- Experience managing plant or capital projects, including timelines, resources, costs, and documentation.
- Knowledge of manufacturing systems, equipment, tooling, and process improvements.
- Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience; four years of practical application preferred.
- Experience with current software, hardware, and vision technology.
- Strong communication, project management, organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- RJG Master Molder certification preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field required.
- Significant relevant process engineering experience may be considered in place of formal education.
- Lean Sigma, Six Sigma, or Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
