Position Overview
The Naval Shipboard Portfolio is hiring a Financial Program Controls Analyst for the Naval Standard Missile Systems (NSMS) Development Directorate. The role supports the NSMS Development program, which generates approximately $300million in revenue per year, and focuses on the setup and execution of multiple cost‑plus contracts, providing critical financial oversight and guidance.
Key Responsibilities- Support development, cost‑plus contractual Earned Value Management (EVM) contracts.
- Provide financial oversight and guidance for contracts, including LRP, AOP, working capital and monthly performance reporting.
- Develop estimates at completion (EACs) and execute EVM program controls.
- Partner with Program Management and cross‑functional leads to support program execution.
- Interact and collaborate with internal and external customers.
- University degree (or equivalent experience) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Experience with program business role, APEX, Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), and Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) concepts.
- Department of Defense contract experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance (DoD Secret).
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Experience in a matrix organizational environment.
- Experience interfacing with varied functional disciplines and conducting business operations.
- Ability to drive change and influence beyond authority level.
- Experience preparing, organizing and presenting briefings to management and peers.
- Strong analytical skills in interpreting and analyzing financial data.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills at all organizational levels.
- Experience managing multiple DoD contracts.
Salary range for this role is $86,800 – $165,200 USD. Additional benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, parental leave, paid time off, holidays, and possible annual incentive compensation depending on position level. Relocation assistance is available under eligibility requirements.
