Position Overview
Finance Manager – Lead Strategic Strike portfolio of programs within the Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) SBU.
Location:
Tucson, AZ (US‑AZ‑TUCSON).
U.S. citizenship required. Active, transferable Secret clearance required prior to start date.
Key Responsibilities- Provide vision and lead a team of Financial Managers & Analysts.
- Manage a large, dynamic development program portfolio.
- Drive BSEC results through sound financial decision‑making.
- Effectively manage day‑to‑day operations while maintaining a strategic focus on business financial goals and commitments.
- Staffing, coaching, and building team strength.
- Estimate at Complete (EAC), cost management, program risk & opportunity management – support development, review and approval of various program EACs across contract types.
- New business capture – competitive proposal development, pricing & gate reviews.
- Financial forecasting/FP&A – AOP & long‑range plan development.
- Investment planning – oversee capital, IR&D, and NBI investments to execute strategic plan and new business capture.
- Earned Value Management System (EVMS) variance analysis, data reviewing, and reporting.
- Partner with external customers to develop relationships and ensure finance‑based deliverables and data satisfy customer satisfaction.
- Lead program & functional business reviews to ensure business efficiency and risk mitigation.
- Manage the program finance team by hiring, developing, coaching/mentoring, and rotating employees.
- Set expectations and operational cadence with finance and program teams.
- Make independent decisions and lead without direct oversight due to portfolio size and complexity.
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree and 10 years of experience.
- Financial controls experience.
- Experience across Accounting, FP&A, and/or Program Finance.
- U.S. citizenship and active, transferable Secret clearance required.
- Understanding of Raytheon financial metrics, EAC, and accounting policies.
- Demonstrated ability to meet critical deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Quick data analysis skills to aid prudent business decision‑making.
- Initiative and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Cross‑functional coordination and rapport development.
- Leadership experience on a highly visible program.
- Excellent financial background across multiple disciplines and ability to make decisions impacting program controls, accounting, FP&A, budgets, and rates.
Salary range: $157,200 – $298,800 USD, depending on experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Depending on the business unit and collective‑bargaining agreement, additional annual incentive compensation programs may be available.
