Senior Accountant

Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 per year.

We are searching for a dynamic, detail-oriented, and experienced Senior Accountant to join our vibrant Accounting + Finance team. As a Senior Accountant, you will play an integral role in accurately preparing our company's financial records and performance.

• Prepare financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable financial rules and regulations, including generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Manage payroll functions, ensuring all payroll transactions are processed efficiently and tax filings are prepared in a timely manner.
• Analyze financial data and create forecasting models to guide strategic decision-making and business planning.
• Conduct variance analysis and implement corrective actions to manage company expenses.
• Ensure compliance with all internal processes and controls as well as external laws and regulatory guidance.
• Coordinate with external auditors to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit.
• Assist in the development and implementation of accounting process controls.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement new systems that optimize productivity.
• Provide financial analysis tools to evaluate company ventures or special projects, programs, capital expenditures, products costing, etc. when necessary.
• Participate in cross-departmental projects and uphold the principles of teamwork.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An advanced degree or professional certification such as CPA is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role, with a strong focus on payroll management.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and other accounting principles and procedures.
• Proficiency in accounting software, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly high-level Excel skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on data.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial data in a clear and concise manner.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in managing a team.
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
