Job Overview

Location: Tucson, AZ (1151 E Hermans Rd).
Role Type: Onsite.
Security Clearance: Top Secret, active and transferable, U.S. citizenship required.

The Advanced Effectors and Space Finance team within the Advanced Technology Strategic Business Unit is looking for a highly motivated finance professional to help lead the financial management & oversight of a portfolio of contracts.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with the portfolio Finance Manager, Program Management, and key functional team members to ensure flawless program implementation through cost & schedule control, including Estimate at Completion (EAC’s) and EVMS compliance.
  • Drive the portfolio’s FP&A cadence, oversee NBI and capture budget planning, and manage cost control.
  • Provide key recommendations to senior team members based on analysis that enhances value for all stakeholders.
  • Implement and maintain EVMS, using innovative RMD practices, policies & standards to meet customer requirements with minimal tool support due to limited program access.
  • Develop monthly forecasts, AOP & LRP in partnership with functional partners, providing tactical support of forecasts and plans using various financial tools (RPlan, SAP, BW, Excel).
  • Meet internal & external deliveries with flawless work product; provide predictable financial forecasts, brief program & finance key team members in advance of resolution decision-making, and supply financial strategies in proposals & contract negotiations.
  • Evaluate and improve internal controls, tools and processes.
Qualifications – Must Have
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, and 8 years of applicable work experience in Financial Management/Leadership, OR an advanced degree with 5 years of applicable work experience in Financial Management/Leadership.
  • Experience in Financial Planning and Program Controls.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government‑issued Top Secret security clearance required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship required; only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications – Preferred
  • Experience implementing Earned Value Management and delivering IPMDAR & CSDR.
  • Experience in the Estimate at Completion (EAC) process across various government contract types.
  • Able to meet critical deadlines and develop and apply solutions and process improvements.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills at all levels of administration, both verbally and in written form.
  • Comfortable in a highly visible position, preparing and presenting briefings to customers, administration, and peers.
  • Experience recognizing process shortfalls and successfully implementing positive change.

  • Salary range: $107,500 – $204,500 (USD).
