- Central Services Salary Grade: 11 Pay Range Hiring Range: $56,555 - $67,870 Annually Pay Range: $56,555 - $79,164 Annually Range Explanation:
Hiring Range is an estimate of where you can receive an offer. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, training, and internal equity. - Assist in developing the annual operating budget and monitoring adopted budgets through monthly analyses, analytical tools, and reporting.
- Review transactions for compliance with the chart of accounts, project year-end expenditures, and complete detailed ad hoc projects.
- Monitor departmental spending under supervision, assist in gathering and compiling forecast data, and contribute to the preparation of monthly expenditure and revenue forecast reports.
- Support the preparation, analysis, review, and monitoring of Countywide budgets, personnel changes, and funding adjustments under guidance.
- Assist with gathering and organizing budgetary and financial data to support studies on the feasibility of initiating or expanding programs or services.
- Provide entry-level technical assistance to departments in budget preparation by clarifying financial policies, procedures, and processes and assisting with the use of the automated budget system.
- Assist in the preparation of preliminary funding recommendations by compiling and organizing revenue and expenditure data and program performance measures.
- Compile and organize data for inclusion in the annual Countywide budget documents and assist in reconciling financial data under supervision.
- Support inventory reconciliations to help ensure proper controls are in place to safeguard County assets.
- Assist in preparing internal financial and budget reports by gathering and organizing data.
- Track and compile information on proposed and current legislation under direction to support impact analysis and compliance efforts.
- Perform other entry-level duties as assigned to support departmental and Countywide goals.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, finance, economics, business or public administration, or a closely related field, as defined by the department head at the time of recruitment. (Relevant experience and/or education from an accredited college or university may be substituted.) Qualifying education and experience must be clearly documented in the "Education" and "Work Experience" sections of the application.

- College-level coursework or professional experience in financial accounting.
- College-level coursework or professional experience in Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Access.
- College-level coursework or professional experience in budgeting.
- Customer service experience.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in finance, accounting, or closely related field.
