Job Description & How to Apply Below

A well-established, multi-location private wealth management practice is seeking a Financial Planning Analyst to support Financial Advisors and Associate Financial Advisors throughout the financial-planning process. This is an immediate and important hiring need, and the practice may hire up to two exceptional candidates. The role combines plan construction and analysis with meaningful client-facing responsibility. This person will update planning data, create and run models and illustrations, prepare and track deliverables, participate in client meetings, and communicate about the planning process.

The practice is transitioning from Navi Plan to Money Guide, making prior Money Guide Pro  experience especially valuable. The position can support either a long-term career as a planning specialist or a growth path toward the CFP certification, the practice's concierge team, and ultimately an Associate Financial Advisor opportunity. This full-time, non-exempt position generally follows a Monday-Friday, standard business hours schedule and is eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable law.

  • Prepare preliminary financial-planning documents, recommendations, and product-solution analyses - including Money Guide Pro  deliverables - for advisor review, approval, and use in client meetings
  • Update client data and build, run, and quality-check comprehensive financial-planning models, scenario analyses, and supporting illustrations
  • Gather and analyze client information across retirement, investments, cash flow, insurance, education, tax considerations, estate-planning inputs, and other planning areas
  • Support insurance-solution analysis by preparing product illustrations and in-force reprojections for advisor review within applicable licensing, supervisory, and role-authority parameters
  • Prepare for client meetings by assembling files, entering planning data, producing supporting documents, and identifying data gaps or follow-up items
  • Present financial-planning models in client meetings alongside Financial Advisors and help communicate planning concepts and next steps clearly
  • Complete meeting follow-up, prepare written financial plans, and create, track, and deliver client ready planning materials and communications
  • Support the practice's transition from Navi Plan to Money Guide by helping establish consistent templates, workflows, documentation, and quality standards
  • Maintain accurate electronic client files, protect confidential information, and follow all practice, regulatory, and data-security procedures
  • Contribute to planning-team projects and process improvements as requested
  • Bachelor's degree in financial planning, finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related discipline; graduation from an accredited CFP Board Registered Program is strongly preferred
  • Two years of experience with a financial-services firm offering investment management, insurance products, and comprehensive financial planning preferred; relevant internships or comparable experience will also be considered
  • Series 7, Series 66, and Life/Health insurance licenses, or the ability and commitment to obtain the required licenses within an agreed timeframe
  • Money Guide Pro  experience strongly preferred;
Navi Plan or other comprehensive planning software experience is also valuable
  • CFP certification preferred; CFP coursework or a genuine willingness to pursue the CFP certification is valuable
  • Ability to read and interpret account statements, tax returns, estate documents, business materials, technical procedures, and applicable regulations
  • Strong analytical judgment, mathematical comfort, accuracy, organization, and the ability to evaluate multiple planning scenarios
  • Excellent written, verbal, and client-presentation skills, with the judgment to communicate complex information clearly and professionally
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, Adobe, client-management systems, databases, and other business software
  • Integrity, empathy, discretion, and the ability to collaborate across advisor and service teams while managing multiple priorities and deadlines

Benefits for eligible full-time employees include:

  • Medical coverage with PPO and high-deductible health plan options, including an HSA option; the practice pays the full cost of employee-only medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • $50,000 in employer-paid group life insurance, plus employer-paid short- and long-term disability benefits
  • Section 125 flexible benefits, including a healthcare Flexible Spending…
