- Lead and strategize community outreach initiatives, fostering and expanding partnerships with community organizations for broader program impact.
- Delegate roles and responsibilities, optimizing team performance and achieving strategic objectives.
- Conduct advanced analyses of program needs, oversee personnel assignments, and strategically allocate resources to ensure successful implementation of complex program strategies and activities.
- Oversee the review and tracking process for the Department’s Grants and Contracts, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and compliance prior to submission for the Board of Supervisors Meeting.
- Manage and evaluate the Department’s requests for changes to Personnel Services Budget PCN forms, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with departmental objectives.
- Execute and oversee the Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act reporting on the Department’s grants, enhancing transparency and accountability measures.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive AMS Grants Lifecycle Management Module Workshop Training, incorporating advanced topics and best practices to enhance departmental grant management capabilities.
- Act as senior liaison between the government and awardee organizations, negotiating, resolving issues, and fostering strategic relationships to support program objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, public or business administration, or a closely related field, AND at least 3years of professional-level experience in grants management, financial analysis, budget management, or related fields.
- OR at least 5years of experience with Pima County in a professional-level position performing duties related to grants administration, financial reconciliation, budget management, or contract administration.
- Qualifying education and experience must be clearly documented in the Education and Work Experience sections of the application.
- Minimum 2years of experience in administration and coordination of grants and/or contracts.
- Minimum 2years of experience with or knowledge of financial or grants management systems.
- Minimum 2years of experience using Microsoft Excel, specifically with pivot tables and formulas.
- Minimum 2years of experience performing account reconciliations.
- Minimum 2years of experience working within a governmental accounting environment.
Valid driver license required at the time of application and during appointment. The successful applicant will be subject to a 39-month DOT Motor Vehicle Record review. Failure to obtain and maintain the required licenses and certifications shall be grounds for termination. Any offer of employment is contingent upon Fleet Services’ review and approval of the candidate’s driving record.
