Pay Range: $66,000 to $72,000, depending on experience

Pima County is seeking a thoughtful, collaborative, and highly skilled professional to support the District 3 Supervisor in addressing constituent concerns, researching and advancing policy priorities, and connecting with communities throughout the district. This position plays a key role in preparing for Board Of Supervisors meetings, developing clear and effective communications, coordinating community outreach, and building strong relationships with County departments, community organizations, and government and community leaders.
The successful candidate will serve as a representative of District 3 at meetings, events, boards, and committees while helping ensure the Supervisor's priorities are effectively communicated and supported.
Preferred candidates will have at least five years of policy-related experience be it in government, nonprofit organizations, or other institutions, at the local, state, or federal level. Candidates should also be able to demonstrate experience and commitment to building community leadership and capacity to influence decision makers and advocate for community needs.

This is an appointed, unclassified position exempt from the Pima County Merit System Rules.

Essential Functions:
- Researches issues of interest to the Board member, including local, state, and federal legislation, and provide background materials;
- Tracks and provides updates on relevant local and state legislative developments, including bills that may affect Pima County;
- Prepares and reviews reports, speeches, presentations, and other documents for Board meetings, public hearings, and constituent communications;
- Serves as a primary point of contact for constituents, responding to inquiries, concerns, and requests for assistance;
- Assists with resolving constituent issues by coordinating with County departments, and other stakeholders;
- Maintains accurate records of constituent interactions, ensuring follow-up and closure of issues in a timely manner;
- Assists in organizing events, town halls, and community outreach efforts to facilitate communication between the Supervisor and constituents.
- Provides general administrative support, including drafting correspondence, filing, and maintaining records related to Board actions and constituent concerns;
- Maintains appropriate security and confidentiality of information created or encountered in the performance of assigned duties;
- Prepares and monitors the budget and expenditures for the office, ensuring compliance with County policies.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in business administration, public administration or related field AND two years of professional administrative experience.
