Eligibility for benefits may vary by location and is determined by employment status
- Performs routine technical and clerical functions.
- May operate simple lab equipment under supervision.
- Processes anatomic pathology and cytology specimens.
- Obtains blood specimens for all age groups serviced.
- Assists pathologists as needed.
- Uses, maintains and cleans laboratory equipment and uses protective equipment to protect from exposure to chemical, radiation and infectious hazards.
- Must be knowledgeable of emergency procedures.
- Performs phlebotomist duties as assigned.
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: Completion of phlebotomy program
- Required: Ability to complete blood draws independently within six weeks of hire
- Preferred: 6 months of laboratory experience
