The Pharmacist is responsible for the safe, accurate and efficient distribution of pharmaceutical agents to patients of all ages, employees and designated areas of the hospital. The practice shall be carried out in accordance with all state/federal and DEA laws, TJC Standards, and hospital/departmental policies and procedures. Responsibilities also include, but are not limited to:

• Collaboration with physicians on drugs and dosing
• Education of nursing staff, patients and physicians regarding medications
• Medication safety initiatives
• Patient profiles, avoidance and reporting of adverse drug reactions
• Mixing of IV admixtures and nutritional supplements
• Narcotic accountability

No On Call

No Option for 48‑hour Guarantee

No Option for Blocked Scheduling

• ACLS & BLS certification
• Arizona Pharmacist License
• Inpatient acute hospital experience required
• 2 years of experience;
  Board Certified and/or accredited pharmacy residency preferred (not required)

Holidays:
Houghton Pharmacy will be open on CHS Recognized holidays.

Pay package is based on 11 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
