Whata Market Director Of Business Development Does
The Market Director of Business Development will oversee admissions and business development for two critical illness recovery hospitals in the Tucson area. Success in this role is achieved via the following goals:
- Consistently attain market census and admissions budgets
- Select, train, and mentor a liaison and admissions team that is clinically astute, detail-oriented, highly accountable, and customer-service driven
- Refine and deploy business development best practices
- Ensure that admissions processes are efficient and consistent in getting appropriate patients into the best level of care within the market
- Build and nurture collaborative internal and external physician relationships
- Promote positive brand recognition within the market by tactfully using social media to celebrate hospital, patient, and employee success
- Lead by example in work ethic, integrity, accountability, and patient-centricity
- Bachelors’ degree required (Masters’ preferred).
- Clinical experience as a Registered Nurse or Rehab Therapist (strongly preferred)
- Five or more years of experience in healthcare sales and marketing (inpatient services marketing in the local market is strongly preferred)
- Three or more years of team management experience.
- Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement and regulatory standards.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, oral and written communication skills.
- Proven success in relationship development and training/mentoring of team members
- Ability to work effectively with direct reports and hospital leadership to achieve hospital budgets and positive patient outcomes.
