Seasonal Respite Direct Care Professional

Located in Tucson, AZ, our Respite Program provides temporary relief to primary caregivers while ensuring youth receive care in a safe, structured, and nurturing environment. We provide services to individuals from birth to age 17 who are experiencing moderate emotional or behavioral difficulties. Youth get to enjoy a wide variety of recreational and enrichment opportunities, including arts and crafts, roller skating, gardening, movies, arcade, park visits, and community outings such as museums, parades, festivals, and sporting events.
We operate out of residential houses, creating a fun and safe home‑like environment for those in our care.
Direct care professionals provide direct supervision and assist with the day‑to‑day activity schedule set up for individuals in the program. Direct support duties include helping individuals with mental health, managing behaviors and emotional needs, de‑escalating situations, implementing treatment plans, providing personal care (bathing, dressing), performing household cleaning (mopping, sweeping, dusting, laundry, trash, dishes), managing medication, transportation, and fostering social skills. Other duties include documenting progress for daily, weekly, and monthly logs, adhering to the activity schedule, attending clinical supervision meetings, and assisting with planning and implementation of enrichment activities and community outings.
PayRange
$17 – $18.70 per hour.
End‑of‑Assignment Summer BonusDetails will be discussed during hiring.
Scheduling Options• Full Time (32–40 hrs/wk)

- Must be 21 years of age or older
- High School diploma or GED required
- Valid Arizona Driver's License & pass DMV 36‑month history check
- Minimum of six weeks of behavioral health experience
- Ability to attend New Hire Orientation Monday‑Friday 8:30 am‑5 pm for 8 days or revised New Hire Orientation May 2‑3 8:30 am‑5 pm (paid)
- Pre‑employment Physical and Job Demand Assessment (if applicable)
- Drug test within 24 hrs of offer with negative results
