Tucson, AZ – Seeking Emergency Medicine Practice Administrator

As a Practice Administrator, you play a vital role in supporting the medical directors, site physician partners, advanced providers, and scribe employees at Vituity.

The Opportunity
  • Act as the operational administrator for the site Vituity leadership and interface for the practice with the hospital and community.
  • Serve as the front‑line liaison for the provider team with hospital C‑Suite, nursing leadership, nursing staff, and Vituity support team.
  • Provide executive support to the site medical director and site management team to meet contract expectations.
  • Handle all site financials, including contract stipends, expense reimbursements, and site payroll timecards.
  • Be the super user for all Vituity software applications and the point person for hospital software and hardware systems.
  • Support Vituity providers acting as a percipient witness in criminal or civil disputes, including subpoena handling and trial testimony scheduling.
  • Oversee office management, meeting coordination, office systems, supplies, site events, and customer service.
  • Facilitate daily patient census and attend multidisciplinary rounds as applicable.
  • Manage site clinical schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Collect, track, and analyze all site financial and operational data.
  • Lead project management activities such as Operations Meetings, Patient Experience Program, Quality/Performance Improvement Program, Advanced Provider and/or Scribe Programs, and Student or Resident rotations.
  • Oversee recruiting and onboarding of new providers, employees, locums, reservists, residents, and students.
  • Ensure all licensed providers complete recredentialing for licensing, certificates, and credentials required by Vituity and the hospital Medical Staff Office.
  • Maintain compliance with Vituity and hospital programs and mandated training.
  • Act as the point person for Vituity People Operations (Human Resources) relations, ensuring accurate site roster and employment law compliance.
  • Develop and maintain site orientation checklists and manuals.
  • Collaborate with the Medical Director and Site Management Team on site practice policies and procedures.
  • Manage medical records and data submission to Revenue Cycle Management, ensuring appropriate charge capture and follow‑up.
  • Ensure billing and documentation compliance via site WIP/TAD lists and monthly meetings with the billing team.
  • Complete mandated forms and requests, including death certificates, physician office requests, state workers' compensation reporting, and pharmacy requests.
Required Experience and Competencies
  • Two to three years of experience in an office or healthcare setting.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field strongly preferred.
  • Experience in the healthcare field preferred.
  • Knowledge of healthcare and medical terminology preferred.
  • Knowledge of general Human Resources principles preferred.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and county agencies that regulate the healthcare industry preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong consultation, prioritization, and work‑ethic skills.
  • Self‑directed, motivated, and deadline‑aware.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Create a positive environment and understand client/customer relationships.
  • Apply information management principles, data analysis, and continuous quality improvement methodologies.
  • Maintain flexibility, cooperation, and participate in cross‑organizational improvement activities.
  • Operate office equipment and automated systems at a proficient level.
