We are seeking an experienced, tenured hotel leader to oversee daily operations, financial performance, guest satisfaction, team development, and brand compliance as General Manager of the dual-branded Motel 6 and Studio 6 Tucson North hotel. This role will work collaboratively with ownership to establish priorities, address operational needs, and drive the property’s overall performance.
Job Overview- Manage and maintain staffing schedules for all departments
- Ensure effective allocation of resources
- Monitor and control costs, including inventory and payroll
- Process bi-weekly payroll
- Hold regular standups with all team members and department leaders
- Maintain a positive culture and working environment
- Ensure the hotel is compliant with brand standards
- Work with various vendors to source quotes and maintain contracts
- Tour and visually inspect the property on a daily basis
- Oversee the maintenance of general facilities
- Create a sales & marketing plan to help drive corporate accounts and group business
- Complete the month-end reporting
- Prepare and submit all invoices through the corporate accounting system
- Actively work with ownership and the corporate accounting team
Additional responsibilities include recruiting, onboarding, training, coaching, and retaining team members; monitoring guest satisfaction and responding to escalated concerns; overseeing room inventory, rates, occupancy, and revenue performance; maintaining safety, security, emergency-preparedness, and regulatory-compliance standards; reviewing operating results against budget and forecasts; and developing corrective action plans when performance falls below expectations.
QualificationsA minimum of five years of hotel General Manager experience, including responsibility for hotel operations, financial performance, team leadership, and brand compliance.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with computers and email communication
- Must be able to reliably commute or relocate to the Tucson, Arizona area
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
