HR Specialist - Part-Time

Contempo HCM, an Arizona-based company, provides payroll and human capital management solutions to meet the workforce management needs of business owners.

We are seeking a proactive and self‑motivated HR Specialist to join our team located in our Tucson office.

• Checking and responding to emails frequently and professionally
• Assisting clients with HR related software questions and resolving concerns
• Processing E-Verify
• Setting electronic onboarding and programming other HR functions within the software platform
• Assisting with HR client setups
• Assisting with unemployment claim management
• Following all procedural documents

• Demonstrates a basic understanding of HR knowledge
• Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills both with clients and internal staff
• Ability to prioritize/organize work and problem solve work related issues
• Ability to complete assigned tasks and duties with little or no supervision
• Ability to demonstrate attention to detail, comprehension and a desire to engage in continued knowledge of payroll software, payroll tax information, and HR knowledge
• Experience operating a multi-line phone system
• Experience using email and Microsoft Office
• Team player (contributes to a positive team environment and demonstrates the ability to take direction and follow through with assignments)
• Ability to represent the company professionally in interactions with internal and external clients
