IT Project Manager
Overview
This is a Hybrid ONSITE role Tue-Thursday at 88 East Broadway Boulevard, Tucson, Arizona, 85701. Looking for candidates with a positive attitude, self-drive, strong customer service, leadership and communication skills, and the ability to coordinate across multiple groups. Requires around 3-5 years of experience managing major IT projects (software development, system implementations, infrastructure, and process improvement). A college degree and PMP certification are preferred, but mid-level experience is acceptable.

The Project Manager organizes assigned projects, manages all project work plan related tasks, leads and directs technical resources, and coordinates with key stakeholders to align the activities of technical staff, users, and vendors. Responsible for meeting IS Department Project Management standards, delivering project deliverables on schedule and within budget, and maintaining a high quality of service.
Position-Related Duties:
- Prepares the Project Charter detailing goals, objectives, risks, assumptions, organizational structure, staffing, roles and responsibilities, work breakdown structure and deliverables.
- Manages the overall project and its scheduled activities, ensuring resources are available to deliver on time and within budget.
- Develops and manages Project Budgets to support IT strategies and operating plans.
- Organizes the project team and collaborates with Business Lead, Technical Lead, and Test Lead to achieve business goals and deliver within time and financial constraints.
- Provides coaching and mentoring to project participants and leaders; builds guidance and an inventory of project management best practices.
- Leads or supports interdisciplinary teams in preparing project documents; conducts stakeholder outreach and communication, including steering committee meetings and notification letters.
- Monitors project performance against PMO expectations and establishes a Project Communication Plan and central repositories for project information.
- Promotes collaboration to resolve issues and focuses on customer service in issue resolution.
- Manages change with PMO Change Management processes; ensures impact analysis for change requests and escalation for high-impact changes.
- Meets criteria requested by IS PMO stakeholders, including strong technical IT background, relationship building, ownership, accountability, attention to detail, teamwork, proactive vendor engagement, and agile knowledge; familiarity with AI, Copilot, M365, infrastructure as relevant areas.
This is a Contract position based out of Tucson, AZ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 – $40.00/hr eligibility for benefits may apply and depends on job classification and length of employment. Benefits may include medical, dental & vision, life insurance, disability, 401(k), HSA, transportation benefits, and PTO/vacation/sick leave where eligible.
