POSITION SUMMARYThe Master Parachute Rigger (MR) – Site Lead serves as the senior on-site authority responsible for all parachute operations, rigging oversight, contractor supervision, instructional support, and reporting requirements. This position ensures all parachute, oxygen, and aerial delivery systems remain serviceable and mission-ready while maintaining leadership visibility, contractor accountability, and administrative compliance.
RESPONSIBILITIES (not limited to)- Pack, service, maintain, and rig all parachute and aerial delivery systems to ensure full mission readiness in support of training and operational requirements.
- Maintain personnel parachute and oxygen equipment to mission-ready standards and support all logistical and course support requirements.
- Serve as Site Lead, supervising all packing and rigging activities while enforcing established standards, procedures, and safety protocols to guarantee mission success.
- Provide direct leadership, accountability, and coordination across all parachute rigging operations to sustain operational excellence, safety, and mission continuity.
- Conduct structured training for newly assigned personnel and contractor support staff to ensure proper supervision, qualification, and performance standards.
- Deliver instructional support and formal courses of instruction to Aircrew Flight Equipment (AFE) technicians to sustain operational proficiency and mission capability.
- Submit weekly SITREPs NLT COB every Thursday to provide leadership with accurate visibility into operational status, training activities, equipment readiness, and notable accomplishments.
- Immediately report any issue, event, or circumstance that could negatively impact contract performance to the Program Manager to ensure rapid mitigation and contract protection.
- Include recognition of individual and team contributions ("ataboys") in weekly reporting to reinforce accountability and morale.
- Ensure accurate and timely ADP timekeeping prior to each pay cycle to maintain administrative compliance and contract accountability.
- Execute additional Site Lead responsibilities as directed by the Program Manager in support of mission requirements and contract performance.
- Master Parachute Rigger certification (USAF or DoD-recognized equivalent).
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance.
- 5+ years of progressive parachute rigging experience, including supervisory responsibility.
- Demonstrated experience supporting airborne, special operations, or high-tempo operational environments.
- Proven ability to maintain personnel parachute and oxygen systems to mission-ready standards.
- Experience delivering structured technical instruction.
- Strong written communication skills sufficient to produce formal SITREPs and contract-impact reporting.
- Prior Site Lead experience under a federal contract.
- Experience supporting Air Force Special Warfare (AFSPECWAR).
- Instructor certification or documented formal course delivery experience.
- Experience supporting Aircrew Flight Equipment (AFE) programs.
- Familiarity with ADP or equivalent timekeeping systems.
