Senior System Administrator, internally known as Senior Analyst, Information Workplace Services, will support classified information systems. Success requires developing, implementing, and maintaining secure, cost‑efficient environments across classified programs. The role collaborates with program teams to define computing requirements and deliver end‑to‑end solutions.
On‑site 3rd‑shift support (Monday‑Friday 11:00 PM‑8:00 AM) with a 12% shift differential. Requires 100% on‑site presence and occasional after‑hours work.
U.S. citizenship is required. Active Secret clearance must be in place before day one.
What You Will Do- Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Redhat Enterprise Linux environment.
- Understand Windows Server internals or Linux fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication.
- Work as a team member in a fast‑paced environment, troubleshooting moderate to high complexity technical problems involving hardware and OS integration.
- Incorporate data RAID, backup technologies, and install & configure software for end users.
- Collaborate with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements.
- Document and train on advanced IT processes and procedures.
- Maintain system operations 24×7, accepting work beyond regular hours when needed.
- Travel up to 10% within the U.S. to support business needs.
- University degree or equivalent, plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with Linux or Windows environments.
- Hands‑on experience with Active Directory, VMware, and backup/recovery.
- DoDD 8140/8570 certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE) and operating system certifications.
- Familiarity with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS, or DoD/RMF.
- Experience with NFS, NAS, and SAN technologies.
- Project lifecycle management experience.
- VMware vCenter, vSphere, ESX knowledge.
- Support for software, simulations, and hardware development.
- Microsoft WSUS, MECM, or Exchange experience.
- High Performance Computing on Linux.
- Scripting experience.
- Relocation assistance is available to eligible candidates.
- Compensation ranges from $68,900 to $131,100 annually.
