Senior System Administrator – Tucson, AZ (Onsite)
U.S. citizenship is required. This is a U.S.
-based role demanding an active and transferable Secret security clearance prior to start date.
- Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment.
- Apply knowledge of Windows Server internals or Linux fundamentals including DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods.
- Collaborate as a team member in a fast‑paced technological environment.
- Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of moderate to high scope and complexity, integrating hardware and operating systems.
- Implement data RAID, backup and recovery technologies.
- Install and configure software applications requested by end users.
- Work with cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements, provide documentation, and deliver training on advanced IT processes and procedures.
- Minimum of two years of prior relevant experience and a university degree or equivalent experience.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance required prior to start date, with the ability to obtain program access after start.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Experience with Windows and technologies such as Active Directory, WSUS, VMware, Veeam, AWS, MySQL, Remote Desktop Gateway, and Netwrix.
- Experience with backup and recovery enterprise suites.
- Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification and an Operating System Certification).
- Experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF.
- Experience in Windows Server environments.
- Experience with Zero Clients and data storage solutions including NAS and SAN.
- Experience with IT project lifecycle management processes.
- Experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, and ESX and/or other virtual computing methods.
- Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development.
- Experience with Microsoft WSUS, SCCM, and/or Exchange.
- High Performance Computing (HPC) experience in a Linux environment.
- Scripting experience.
- Relocation eligibility.
- Salary range 68,900 USD – 131,100 USD.
