Position Summary
IT Applications Administrator – Sargent Aerospace & Defense
The IT Applications Administrator is responsible for the day‑to‑day administration, configuration, and support of our business applications. This role manages IT support tickets related to applications, implements and maintains software solutions, oversees license compliance and renewals, and serves as an administrator for multiple core systems. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and comfortable collaborating with stakeholders across operations, finance, and leadership.

- Application Administration & Support
- Administer, configure, and maintain assigned business applications
- Triage and resolve IT tickets within SLA; escalate to vendors or internal SMEs as needed
- Manage user provisioning/deprovisioning, roles/permissions, and license inventories
- Create and maintain knowledge base articles, process flows, and “how‑to” guides
- Project Participation & Stakeholder Engagement
- Participate in cross‑functional IT and business projects involving applications
- Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to document and translate business requirements
- Serve as the primary liaison between vendors, IT, and internal teams
- Support pilot programs, solution testing, and phased rollouts
- Software Implementation
- Plan/execute application rollouts, upgrades, integrations, and migrations in partnership with stakeholders
- Perform sandbox testing, UAT coordination, and change management communication
- Develop and maintain configuration documentation, diagrams, and lessons learned
- Monitor application performance/availability and ensure proper logging/alerting
- Additional
- Contribute to IT roadmap and continuous improvement initiatives
- Provide end‑user training, workshops, and quick reference guides
- Support and implement Windows‑based systems and applications, including build and configuration
- May have the opportunity to lead a small to medium‑sized group of team members
- Support the IT Team with all other required technical needs

Minimum Qualifications- U.S. Citizenship required
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 3‑5 years of experience in IT support, systems/application administration, or a similar role (2+ with Bachelor’s)
- High level of experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems
- General knowledge of Windows Server (2012 and newer) operating system
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to write clear documentation and communicate with technical and non‑technical audiences
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or in cross‑functional teams
- Position is fully on‑site with a partial day on Friday
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems
- Proven ability to manage a team
- Knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, WINS, DNS, DHCP)
- Network+ and A+ certifications encouraged
- Knowledge of ITIL or other service management frameworks
- Strong understanding of system integration, APIs, and middleware technologies
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional projects and manage stakeholder expectations
