Mainframe Networks System Programmer

• Installation, upgrade and maintenance of VTAM, TCPIP, OSA and related products on mainframe.
• Sound knowledge in SMPE.
• Strong Networking knowledge.
• Skills in Printers configuration, FTP, SMTP, SNMP configurations.
• Interface with operations,
• Network management software (includes Net View and NPM)
• File transfer software (includes TCP/IP FTP, Netview FTP and Connect:
  
  Direct)

• As a Subject matter expert provide direct technical support as needed in the planning, coordination, installation, implementation and testing of releases, upgrades, or changes to CICS and related ISV products.
• Capable of Upgrading/Installing and Migrating CICS Transaction servers

• Mainframe Storage Administrator
• Capable of maintaining and managing DASD & tape environments, Backup & Restore of data, Disaster Recovery setup using various storage management products/utilities including DFSMS components, device support facility, backup & restore utilities (vendor products).
• Capable of supporting z/OS and storage management product upgrades & customization.

• Responsible for the administration of Websphere MQ (WMQ) subsystems and associated software on the clients mainframes.
• Install, test, configure and implement mainframe WMQ and associated system software while maintaining a stable operating system environment for business applications.
• Perform WMQ system backups and recovery

• Install MVS software into SOS repository
• Expert in Software Packaging and using SMPE
• Implement software following required change process
• Execute MOM tickets in preparation for Maintenance IPL's
• Implement software zaps to extend 3P software
• Ideal to have ISV product replacement experience.
• Complete MVS Product Administration Requests

• Expertise required in Mainframe System Automation tools i.e., IBM SA z/OS and CA OPS/MVS. Experience in other Automation product like AF Operator & BMC Mainview AO would be an added advantage.
• Good experience in dealing with Migration projects CA-OPS/MVS to IBM System Automation and vice versa.
• Proficiency in REXX, CLIST and Netview PIPE Programming.
• Responsible for developing & deploying automated solutions across the infrastructure to eliminate manual intervention, including automated IPLs, application recovery and auto ticket generation.
