Job Summary & Salary
Recorders Office – Elections Aide (Classified). Hourly pay: $16.54 to $22.34. Position open until filled. First review of applications will be on 03/27/2026.
Essential Functions- Disposition and inventory of all IT equipment.
- Installation of networked devices such as scanners and peripherals.
- Testing of ballot on-demand printers and other IT equipment as needed.
- Assist in setup and tear‑down of early‑voting site IT equipment.
- Help‑desk support for installation of software, modification, repair of hardware, and resolution of technical issues.
- Work in bi‑partisan teams to process early ballots for tabulation.
- Prepare election supplies and voting machines for delivery to poll locations.
- Perform minor mechanical repairs on voting equipment.
- Load and unload election supplies and other materials.
- Transport and receive election ballots, returns, and precinct supplies.
- Provide information to voters concerning the election.
- Registered voter with current registration in Pima County (or equivalent experience, training, and/or education).
- Experience learning new technology, products, or technical knowledge.
- Experience troubleshooting software or IT hardware.
- Experience working in a team environment, navigating challenges collaboratively and independently.
Pima County Human Resources reserves the right to admit only candidates who meet the minimum qualifications. Applications are assessed based on education and experience. Qualified candidates may be further evaluated against preferred qualifications. Successful candidates are selected from a referral list and may undergo additional assessments or testing.
Licenses and CertificatesValid driver license required at the time of application and appointment. Successful applicant will undergo a 39‑month DOT Motor Vehicle Record review. Offer of employment is contingent upon Fleet Services’ review and approval of driving record.
