Network Administrator (P2) – Onsite – U.S. Citizen required, active Secret Security Clearance required.
- Maintain smooth operation of voice and data networks.
- Plan, evaluate, coordinate, and perform installation and/or reconfiguration of hardware and software elements of data and voice communication networks.
- Develop technical expertise in all areas of voice and data networks hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as switches, routers, firewalls, authentication servers, encryptors, etc.
- Work with network management software platforms.
- Propose solutions to management to ensure all communications requirements based on future needs and current usage, configuring such solutions to optimize cost savings, redundancy, and required network uptime.
- Prepare or ensure that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions, technical diagrams, and other documentation; assist in developing documentation where none exists.
- Provide regular monitoring and network analysis regarding short- and long-range planning for in‑house systems.
- Assist with coordination of third‑party maintenance for network equipment or with vendors for third‑party support.
- Work outside normal business hours (evenings and weekends) as needed.
- Work with general supervision and follow established procedures.
- Apply Network Engineering skills to defense‑oriented programs.
- Obtain Security+ certification within 6 months.
- Obtain Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) within one year.
- University degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field.
- Experience in configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and/or intrusion detection systems, including software upgrades.
- Active and transferable U.S. government‑issued Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship.
- Security+ certification within 6 months and CCNA within one year.
- Experience with Cisco ISE, 802.1X, Solar Winds, and setting up client‑server environments for government networks.
- Experience with current cabling and fiber standards.
- Experience with access control lists, security posture, and vendor best practices.
- Experience with Visio diagramming and design capabilities.
- 1‑2 years of experience with network management software.
- Willingness and availability to travel domestically as needed.
- Knowledge of configuration and troubleshooting of encryption devices.
- Effective customer service skills, including oral and written communications.
- Experience with platforms such as IP telephony, NTP servers, Gem One, and Solar Winds.
- Ability to work under time constraints.
- Experience with classified computing, STIG compliance, and network refreshes.
- Current DoD Top Secret level security clearance (if applicable).

Active and transferable Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. Candidates must be U.S. citizens. The role may require travel within the United States and occasional relocation support if needed.
