Job Overview
We are looking for a Junior System Administrator to support critical classified programs at Raytheon (RTX). The role is located in Tucson, AZ, onsite, and requires U.S. citizenship and an active Secret clearance.
Key Responsibilities- Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows environment supporting SIPR and other classified information systems.
- Collaborate with team members in a fast‑paced, technology‑focused environment.
- Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of basic to moderate scope, including hardware and operating‑system integration.
- Manage virtualized environments and the associated virtual machine workloads.
- Configure and maintain Windows Server components such as DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and server replication.
- Implement hardware RAID, hardware and software encryption, and utilize server management tools.
- Perform data backup and restore operations following industry best practices.
- Install and configure software applications requested by end users.
- Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and compliance.
- Obtain Department of Defense Directive 8140 / 8570 certification (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent) within 6 months of start date.
- Support 24/7 operational systems, including occasional work beyond normal hours.
- Travel up to 10% of the year to other U.S. domestic locations as business needs dictate.
- University degree or equivalent experience with less than 2 years of relevant experience.
- SIPR network experience.
- Experience with Windows administration, backup, and recovery enterprise suite.
- Experience with system hardening for security compliance.
- U.S. citizenship and active, transferable Secret clearance.
- DoDD 8140 / 8570 certification (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent and an operating‑system certification).
- Experience with Trellix HBSS, ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO), Endpoint Security (ENS) Policy Auditor, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions.
- Experience deploying Windows workstations and migrating end‑user data.
- Experience administering Microsoft Windows Active Directory services, including user/computer objects and Group Policy.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows network services such as DNS, DHCP, and domain controllers.
Salary range: 57,200
USD–108,800

Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates. The position is a 100% onsite full‑time role with occasional overtime during critical periods.
