Responsibilities
Work as a team member in a fast‑paced technological environment, helping to develop and implement new technologies based on industry best practices.
- Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve high‑scope, complex technical problems, including the integration of High‑Performance Computing (HPC) hardware, software, and operating systems.
- Understand and work with software tools, automated scripts, batch schedulers, and hardware to lead and support the engineering community.
- Perform operating‑system tuning to maximize system performance on HPC systems.
- Standardize processes and procedures across Digital Technology functions.
- Collaborate with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security compliance requirements.
- Provide documentation and training on advanced DT HPC processes and procedures.
- Mentor junior team members.
- Bachelor’s degree and less than 2 years of relevant experience, or a total of 4 years of relevant technical experience in IT or Digital Technology.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance required prior to start date.
- U.S. citizenship required for security clearance eligibility.
- Experience in Windows and/or Linux Server environments, including directory services management and system hardening.
- Must obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent) and an operating‑system certification within 6 months of hire.
- High‑Performance Computing experience in a Linux environment.
- Project leadership experience in a DT domain and scripting proficiency.
- Experience maintaining a medium‑sized Microsoft Windows Server environment and with Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
- Knowledge of HPC scheduling and monitoring tools such as SLURM, Grid Engine, and Ganglia.
- Advanced hands‑on experience with Windows and Unix security hardening, systems integration, advanced troubleshooting, and LDAP authentication services.
- Experience in medium to high‑complexity environments, including Unix (Linux and Solaris).
- Active DoD Secret or Top‑Secret clearance preferred.
- Competitive salary range: $57,200 – $108,800.
