WhatYou Will Do
- Maintain, configure, and support enterprise IT systems, including servers, networks, and virtual environments.
- Monitor system performance and ensure availability, reliability, and security of infrastructure.
- Apply system updates, patches, and security configurations in accordance with organizational policies.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues; provide timely resolution and root cause analysis.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning efforts.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity and engineering teams to ensure compliance with applicable standards (e.g., STIGs, RMF).
- Maintain system documentation, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
- Advanced system administration techniques in secure and enterprise environments.
- Implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity compliance frameworks.
- Hands‑on experience with modern tools for monitoring, logging, and automation.
- Best practices for system hardening and vulnerability management.
- Cross‑functional collaboration within IT, cybersecurity, and engineering teams.
- Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years experience.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Experience administering Windows and/or Linux‑based systems.
- Experience with system patching, updates, and security configurations and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper‑V).
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., RMF, STIGs, NIST).
- Experience with tools such as Splunk, Syslog servers, or endpoint protection platforms.
- Scripting experience (e.g., Power Shell, Bash, Python).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Security+, Network+, RHCSA, MCSA).
- Experience working in regulated or government environments.
The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent on the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective‑bargaining agreement.
Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short‑term and/or long‑term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective‑bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
