Principal System Administrator (Infrastructure).

What You Will Do
  • Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment.
  • Maintain Windows Server and Linux fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, server replication methods, RAID, and data backup technologies.
  • Install and configure software applications requested by end users.
  • Collaborate with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures.
  • Develop solutions and documentation to resolve a variety of technical problems.
  • Support systems that are operational 24x7, occasionally requiring work beyond standard hours.
  • Travel up to 5% of time.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of five years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with a minimum of three years of relevant experience.
  • Must hold a transferable U.S. government‑issued secret security clearance prior to start.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Strong Windows and Linux administration experience.
  • Experience with Linux/RHEL administration, Active Directory/Windows Domain administration, MECM, VMware, and recovery enterprise suites.
  • Must obtain DoDD 8140/8570 certification (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent) within six months of start date.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active DoD TS certification and an operating system certification.
  • Experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF.
  • In‑depth Windows Server experience.
  • Experience with data storage, NAS, SAN technologies and solutions.
  • Experience with IT project lifecycle management processes.
  • Experience with VMware vCenter, vSphere, ESX or other virtual computing methods.
  • Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development.
  • Experience with Microsoft WSUS, SMECP, or Exchange.
  • High Performance Computing (HPC) experience in a Linux environment.
  • Scripting experience.
Salary & Benefits

Salary range: $86,800 - $165,200 USD.
