Senior System Administrator – Tucson, AZ
Senior System Administrator, internally known as Senior Analyst, responsible for providing IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Redhat Enterprise Linux environment to support classified programs. The role requires collaboration with multiple teams to maintain secure, cost‑efficient environments and solve complex IT infrastructure problems.
What You Will Do:- Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Redhat Enterprise Linux environment.
- Apply knowledge of Windows Server internals and Linux fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication.
- Work as a team member in a fast‑paced technological environment.
- Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve moderate‑to‑high scope technical problems, including integration of hardware and operating systems.
- Work with data RAID, backup technologies, and install and configure software applications requested by end users.
- Collaborate with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements.
- Provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures and other assigned tasks.
- Obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent) within six months of start date.
- Operate in a 24x7 environment, occasionally requiring work beyond standard hours.
- Travel up to 10% per year to other U.S. domestic locations as business needs dictate.
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree and at least two years of relevant prior experience.
- Active, transferable U.S. government‑issued secret security clearance prior to start date.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Experience with Linux or Windows operating systems.
- Experience with Active Directory, VMware, backup, and recovery procedures.
Salary Range: 68,900 USD – 131,100 USD. Eligible for benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, employee scholar program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Additional annual incentive compensation may be offered based on individual, business unit, and company performance.
Role Type:
Full time, 100% onsite, with travel up to 10% per year.
