Principal System Administrator – Onsite

Security Clearance: U.S. Citizen required. Secret‑level DoD clearance (DoDD 8140/8570 required). Must obtain CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent within 6 months.

• Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment.
• Understand Windows Server internals or Linux fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication.
• Work as a team member in a fast‑paced technological environment.
• Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of moderate to high scope, including hardware and OS integration.
• Understand data RAID, data backup uses, and technologies.
• Install and configure software applications requested by end users.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures.
• Systems are operational 24x7; occasional work beyond standard hours required.
• Travel up to 10% of the time.

• University degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with minimum 3 years of experience.
• Windows and Linux experience.
• Experience in Active Directory, VMware, or networking administration.

• DoDD 8140/8570 certification (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent) and an operating system certification.
• In‑depth experience with Windows Server.
• Experience with data storage, NAS/SAN technologies and solutions.
• Experience with VMware vCenter, vSphere, ESX, and other virtual computing methods.
• Experience with security posturing tools such as SCAP, Nessus, Splunk, Symantec, and other AV solutions, and system hardening.
