Senior Principal High Performance Computing (HPC) Administrator (Manager, Information Workplace Services - P4)

Security Clearance:
DoD Secret (Active; requires existing after day1)

Salary Range: $107,500 – $204,500

• Work as a team member in a fast‑paced technological environment.
• Help develop and implement new technologies based on industry best practices.
• Troubleshoot high‑scope and high‑complexity issues involving the integration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of HPC hardware, software, and operating systems.
• Perform OS tuning to maximize system performance on HPC systems.
• Standardize processes and procedures across DT functions.
• Partner with cybersecurity professionals to maintain security compliance.
• Provide documentation and training on advanced DT HPC processes and procedures.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Obtain required DoDD 8140/8570 certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent and an Operating System Certification) within 6months of hire.

• University degree or equivalent experience with minimum 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with minimum 5 years.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• Experience in Windows and Linux Server environments, directory services management, and system hardening.
• Experience maintaining a medium‑sized Microsoft Windows Server environment.
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

• HPC scheduling and monitoring tools (e.g., SLURM, Ganglia, Prometheus, Grafana).
• HPC hardware troubleshooting.
• Project leadership or management experience in a DT domain.
• Basic to advanced scripting experience.
• Active DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance.
• Windows and Linux security hardening, systems integration, and authentication service integration.
• Red Hat Certified System Administrator or Engineer.
• Cloud‑HPC management experience.
• Provisioning and automation (Ansible, IPMI, iLO, iDRAC, etc.).
