Project/UnitDescription
The Electronic Systems Laboratory (ELSYS) Applied Embedded Systems (AES) Division is currently seeking an Intelligence Analyst for the Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO) Platform & Training Branch (EPTB). EPTB provides engineering and technical support for EMSO platforms to include the new United States Air Force (USAF) EA-37B Compass Call platform and the legacy EC-130H Compass Call platform. EPTB engineers provide 24/7/365 EMSO mission system rapid reprogramming support and development, integration, testing, and fielding of EMSO hardware/software tools for deployment of advanced missionware/applications ("apps").EPTB
engineers also provide advanced and tailored EW and EMSO education and training courses to U.S. Military personnel, Government civilians, and U.S. Foreign Military Sales (FMS) partner nations. In addition to training products, EPTB also performs assessments and direct support to Department of War (DoW) elements involved in EMSO. This opportunity within EPTB will provide direct support to 55th Electronic Combat Group (ECG), and the EC-130H/EA-37B Compass Call on site at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base (DMAFB), Tucson, AZ.
This position will utilize their background in intelligence analysis to conduct testing and training on application-based capabilities for the Compass Call Mission System.
Subject matter expert who leverages a wide range of knowledge, experience and deep analytic skill to research foreign civil, military and commercial capabilities, technical developments; regional issues; geographic, cultural and biographic data and system vulnerabilities. Prepares assessments of current events and technologies based on the sophisticated collection, research and analysis of classified and open source information. Develops and maintains analytical procedures to inform dynamic requirements and ensure maximum operational insight of adversary capabilities and intent.
Collects data using a combination of standard intelligence methods, advanced analytic methodologies and verifiable processes. Authors assessments of current and future political-military developments, military capabilities and doctrine, technical developments, and foreign tactical, operational and strategic doctrine to inform DoD R&D, acquisition and operational communities.
- Conduct threat projection studies and analysis in support of system acquisition decisions and early phase research and development
- Research dual-use technologies, foreign military research and development, non-traditional ISR and emerging threat capabilities including cyber, electronic warfare, intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, space, and hypersonic systems
- Use intelligence analysis tools and methodologies, including modeling and simulation tools, to conduct foreign threat analyses against U.S. scientific and technical intelligence capabilities and strategic communications infrastructure
- Design, develop, update, maintain and deliver mission system training curricula aligned with customer needs and project timelines
- Interface with Compass Call aircrew and intelligence personnel to track and status operational requirements
- Provide subject matter expertise on COMPASS CALL tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs)
