Overview
Position:
Senior System Administrator (Senior Analyst, Information Workplace Services) – 2nd Shift (2:00pm‑11:00pm, 8% shift differential). Relocation available. Must hold an active Secret clearance.
- Provide systems administration for heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Redhat Enterprise Linux environments.
- Diagnose and resolve technical problems of moderate to high complexity, including integration of hardware and operating systems.
- Manage Windows Server internals and Linux fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, AD, replication).
- Maintain data RAID, perform backups and restore operations.
- Install and configure software applications on behalf of end users.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity professionals to enforce security requirements on classified systems.
- Document advanced IT processes and deliver training to staff.
- Support 24×7 operations, including occasional work beyond standard hours.
- Travel domestically (up to 10% annually) to support manufacturing effort.
- University degree or equivalent experience, minimum 2years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency with Linux or Windows environments.
- Experience with Active Directory, VMware, backup and recovery.
- DoDD
8140 / 8570 certification or equivalent (CompTIA Security+ CE). Operating system certification (e.g., Red Hat, Microsoft). - Knowledge of NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF.
- Experience with data storage, NAS, SAN solutions.
- Experience with IT project lifecycle management.
- Proficiency with VMware vCenter, vSphere, ESXi or other virtualization.
- Support for engineers in software, simulations, hardware development.
- Experience with Microsoft WSUS, MECM and Exchange.
- Strong scripting skills.
Salary range: USD
68,900–131,100. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, paid time off, holidays, and other standard benefits. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.
