Principal System Administrator

What You Will Do

• Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows environment supporting SIPR and other information systems.
• Work as a team member in a fast‑paced technological environment.
• Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of basic to moderate scope and complexity, including the integration of hardware and operating systems.
• Manage virtualized environments.
• Utilize experience with Windows Server internals, including DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods.
• Use experience with hardware RAID, hardware and software encryption, and server management tools.
• Perform data backup and restore using industry best practice.
• Install and configure software applications requested by end users.
• Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements.
• Obtain DoDD 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent) within 6 months of start date.

Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours.

Travel required as business needs dictate to other U.S. domestic locations, up to 10% per year.

• University degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years experience.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance required prior to start date.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Windows and/or Linux experience.
• Experience in one of the following:
  Active Directory, VMware, networking administration.

• Active and transferable Top Secret security clearance.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Open Shift, Kubernetes, Docker, Tanzu, and Rancher.
• Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery tools such as Gitlab, Jenkins, and Azure Dev Ops.
• DoDD 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent and an Operating System Certification).
• Experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS, and/or DoD/RMF data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies.
• Experience using VMware vCenter, vSphere, ESX or other virtual computing methods.
• Experience with Microsoft WSUS, MECM, and/or Exchange.
• High Performance Computing (HPC) experience in a Linux environment.

• Relocation assistance available if final candidate meets eligibility requirements.
• Salary range: $86,800 – $165,200 USD.
