What you will Do- Maintain smooth operation of voice and data networks. Plans, evaluates, coordinates, and performs installation and/or reconfiguration of hardware and software elements of data and/or voice communication network
- Work in developing technical expertise in all areas of voice and data networks hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as switches, routers, firewalls, authentication servers, encryptors etc.
- Work with network management software platforms.
- May propose solutions to management to ensure all communications requirements based on future needs and current usage, configuring such solutions to optimize cost savings aligning with future requirements factoring in redundancy and required network uptime.
- Prepares or ensures that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions, technical diagrams, and other documentation. Where no documentation exists, assist in developing documentation.
- Provide regular monitoring and network analysis regarding short- and long-range planning for in-house systems.
- Assist with coordination of third-party maintenance for network equipment or with vendors for third-party support.
- Willingness and availability to work outside normal business hours (evenings and weekends) as needed.
- Must be able to work with general supervision and follow established procedures.
- You will obtain Certifications in Security+ within 6 months and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) within a year. Raytheon will provide training to achieve this.
- You will apply your Network Engineering skills to defense-oriented programs.

- Typically requires a university/bachelor's degree with less than 2 years of relevant experience, will consider equivalent of a minimum of 4 years of relevant Network or IT Systems Administration experience.
- Experience with Networking equipment such as Cisco (or other product) routers, switches, firewalls, and/or intrusion detection systems, including software upgrades.
- Active In-scope, and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- We ideally need someone with Cisco ISE experience with 802.1X, Solar Winds, and setting up client server environments for government networks.
