Government Healthcare Data Manager

• Act as a project lead and partner with the client to define and manage project scope
• Serve as an expert on data methodologies and ensure consistency with industry standards
• Oversee data strategy and processing activities
• Review and guide data processes throughout the project
• Explain data anomalies and exceptions and formulate solutions
• Utilize SAS programming software to interpret, validate and analyze large healthcare data sets
• Collaborate with client and project teams to finalize methodologies
• Educate clients on the impact of their policies on the data
• Support the design and implementation of solutions to clients’ emerging and unique challenges
• Identify growth and development opportunities for junior data analysts
• Provide guidance, oversight and mentoring to junior data staff

• BA/BS or equivalent experience required
• 10+ years of healthcare claims data and project management experience required
• 3+ years’ experience leading teams
• Experience overseeing project teams and working in a client-facing capacity
• Experience using SAS, SQL or equivalent programming language
• Experience working with Medicaid claims data
• Experience managing large complex projects, preferably in a consulting setting
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a demanding work environment
• Strong critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills

Demonstrates expertise in data methodologies and project management within the healthcare sector, with a strong focus on SAS programming and client collaboration. Capable of mentoring junior analysts while overseeing complex projects and ensuring adherence to industry standards.
