Decision Science Analyst, Lead

• Provide decision support for business areas across the association
• Lead discussions with cross-functional teams to understand complex business objectives and influence solution strategies
• Apply advanced analytical techniques to solve large-scale business problems with significant strategic impact
• Organize and oversee development of requirements and resources needed to meet objectives
• Apply scientific and quantitative analytical approaches to draw conclusions and make recommendations
• Translate recommendations into communication materials for all levels of management
• Use visualization techniques to make analysis understandable for less technical audiences
• Identify and gather relevant, high-quality data sources through testing or exploratory data analysis
• Integrate and transform disparate data sources and apply data hygiene techniques
• Document assumptions, methodology, validation, and testing for peer reviews and compliance
• Monitor and adopt emerging technologies affecting scientific and quantitative methodologies
• Deliver complex findings to influence executives, business decisions, and strategy
• Provide subject matter expertise in operationalizing recommendations
• Research industry-leading practices in cloud, data mining, Python, neural networks, sensor data, IoT, and streaming/NRT data
• Pursue formal and informal learning in data and analytics
• Create and incorporate emerging datasets through data wrangling and data munging
• Ensure business risks are identified, measured, monitored, and controlled according to risk and compliance policies

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences, Operations Research, Data and/or Business Analysis, Data Science, or a business or quantitative field; OR 4 years of relevant education and/or experience
• 8 years of experience in a decision support analytic function OR an advanced degree in a relevant discipline and 6 years of experience in a decision support analytic function
• Expert skills in mathematical and statistical techniques and approaches used to drive fact-based decision-making
• Expert knowledge of data analysis tools, data visualization, developing analysis queries and procedures in SQL, SAS, BI tools or other analysis software, and relevant industry data and methods
• Ability to connect external insights to business problems
• Experience with new and emerging data sets and incorporating data wrangling and data munging into new insights
• Experience with advanced analytics and data science solutions derived from member feedback and Voice of Customer (VoC) CX data
• Ability to synthesize member feedback insights with operational, behavioral, financial, and market data
• Ability to act as a subject matter expert for member feedback survey program data
• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate data and trends into digestible narratives for stakeholders and senior leaders
• Proactive, consultative mindset
• US military experience gained through military service or as a military spouse/domestic partner
• Must not require visa sponsorship or immigration support now or in the future
