Why Join Rincon Research Corporation (RRC)?
At Rincon Research Corporation, our primary business is innovating, developing, and fielding digital signal processing (DSP) products and services for the United States Defense and Intelligence Communities in support of national security.
Rincon Research Corporation (RRC), an employee-owned company, is seeking a Mission Intelligence Analyst to support the development and delivery of advanced capabilities for Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) customers.
The Mission Intelligence Analyst will work alongside software engineers, systems engineers, data scientists, and other technical staff to ensure capabilities are designed around real-world mission needs and end-user workflows. Drawing on direct experience in intelligence or operational environments, this individual will provide the mission context and user perspective needed to translate operational challenges into effective technical solutions. This role is well suited for an intelligence professional interested in expanding into mission-focused technology development.
The successful candidate does not need to be a software developer, but should be technically curious, comfortable working with data and software applications, and able to communicate effectively across mission, technical, and customer communities.
What are the primary responsibilities for the Mission Systems Analyst position?
- Serve as a mission and end-user representative within multidisciplinary technical development teams, ensuring operational needs, analyst workflows, constraints, and priorities are understood throughout the development process.
- Communicate complex mission concepts, workflows, and analytical processes clearly to software engineers, systems engineers, data scientists, Program Managers, customers, and other technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Work directly with technical teams throughout the development lifecycle to provide continuous mission context, feedback, and direction.
- Participate in capability design sessions, technical demonstrations, prototype evaluations, and development reviews, providing a strong end-user perspective.
- Exercise and evaluate prototypes and software capabilities from an analyst's perspective and provide clear, structured, and actionable feedback to development teams.
- Develop representative mission scenarios, workflows, test cases, and evaluation criteria to support development, testing, and validation.
- Conduct user acceptance, functional, and mission-oriented testing to determine whether capabilities meet intended operational needs.
- Analyze and interpret data, system outputs, and analytical results produced by developmental capabilities, assessing their relevance, accuracy, usability, and mission value.
- Compare system-generated outputs against source data, expected outcomes, or analyst assessments to help evaluate capability performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Document and communicate observations, findings, test results, recommendations, and capability gaps to technical teams, program leadership, customers, and other stakeholders.
- Support customer demonstrations, technical exchanges, exercises, capability evaluations, and other mission-engagement activities.
- Assist with the development and delivery of user training, capability familiarization, demonstrations, training materials, and other knowledge-transfer activities.
- Gather feedback from users during demonstrations, training, exercises, and evaluations and translate that feedback into recommendations for the development team.
What required background will make you successful?
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in signals intelligence, electronic warfare, or related technical analysis field.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
- Practical experience operating within DoD and/or Intelligence Community mission environments, with an understanding of operational workflows, mission priorities, and end-user needs.
- Experience analyzing and interpreting intelligence, operational data, system outputs, or other mission-relevant information to develop insights and support decision-making.
- Working knowledge of the intelligence cycle, intelligence reporting, mission planning, and operational processes.
