Spanish Language Linguist​/Translator

Job Summary

This position is contingent upon contract award. Amentum seeks a Spanish Language Linguist / Interpreter to support the Joint Interagency Task Force – Counter Cartel (JIATF-CC) in Tucson, AZ. The role delivers actionable intelligence, ISR tactical support, and facilitates interagency collaboration to directly impact national security.

• Provide Spanish-language simultaneous and consecutive interpretation for meetings and operational coordination.
• Provide written translation and review of analytic, operational, and intelligence products.
• Provide interpretation support at the General/Flag Officer and Senior Executive Service (SES) level.
• Operate Sennheiser (or equivalent) interpretation equipment.
• Translate technical documents containing military, intelligence, and law enforcement terminology.
• Maintain engagement records and translation/interpretation activity logs.
• Assist in the development of intelligence planning, intelligence systems architecture requirements, and intelligence training.

• Active Top Secret US Government Clearance with SCI Eligibility (TS SCI); US Citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s degree from a college or university accredited by and recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
• Minimum Level 4 (Full Professional Proficiency) in both reading and speaking on the Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT), Foreign Service Institute (FSI) scale, or equivalent government–recognized assessment; documentation of proficiency must be provided to the Government upon request.

$70,000 - $120,000. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and relevant laws.
