Principal Strategic Sourcing Specialist – MRO

• Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies across multiple MRO sub-categories
• Leverage market intelligence, spend analytics, competitive bidding (RFx), supplier consolidation, catalog optimization, and in sourcing/outsourcing opportunities
• Deliver sustained year-over-year value improvements in cost, quality, service, innovation, and risk management
• Build partnerships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and Finance, Legal, Quality, Compliance, and Operations teams
• Identify business needs, align sourcing initiatives with enterprise objectives, and drive execution in a matrixed global organization
• Lead supplier relationship management, supplier governance, performance management, and contract negotiations
• Develop spend transparency, maintain category data integrity, identify trends and opportunities, and drive cost reduction initiatives
• Partner with Sourcing Operations and Administration to optimize purchasing catalogs and guided buying solutions
• Improve user adoption, compliance, operational efficiency, and alignment with category strategies
• Influence senior leaders and stakeholders by recommending innovative solutions and presenting actionable strategies
• Support Medtronic's healthcare technology mission through enterprise-wide MRO sourcing impact

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum 7 years of relevant sourcing or supply chain experience, or an advanced degree with 5 years of relevant experience
• Proven success developing and executing global category and strategic sourcing strategies within MRO sub-categories
• Experience delivering measurable business value through strategic sourcing methodologies
• Experience recovering value from obsolete and expired inventory
• Experience delivering product standardization opportunities for MRO consumables
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, SAP, and Ariba
• Strong analytical capabilities and data-driven decision-making
• Leadership, stakeholder management, customer focus, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to influence technical experts, business leaders, cross-functional teams, and suppliers
• Experience developing and presenting sourcing strategies and business cases for executive-level decisions
• Strong program and project management capabilities
• Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, sound business judgment, and commercial acumen
• Continuous improvement mindset and ability to optimize processes and deliver sustainable outcomes
• Experience leading and partnering across complex, matrixed global organizations
• For baccalaureate degrees earned outside the United States, a degree satisfying 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required
• Unrestricted U.S. work authorization is required for roles below Principal level; this Principal-level role is eligible for specified U.S. sponsorship consideration
