**** Compensation: $15.00 - $18 per hour, DOE.
**** Position Summary
** AMS is a network of top-rated Arizona public charter schools dedicated to providing a safe, clean, and supportive learning environment for every scholar. Our Operations team plays a critical role in creating an environment where students and staff can thrive. We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Custodial Day Porter to help maintain our school facilities, ensuring they are clean, safe, and welcoming for students, staff, and families.

This role is essential to the daily operations of our school, and we want someone who is dedicated, professional, and takes pride in creating an exceptional learning environment for children who may not otherwise have access to a high-quality education.
** Responsibilities
* ** Assess all areas of the school throughout the day and clean as necessary.
* Prepare, stage, and maintain an adequate supply of cleaning materials and equipment.
* Comply with chemical handling laws, HAZMAT regulations, and safety protocols.
* Interact professionally with school administration, staff, and students.
* Clean and maintain facilities including classrooms, break rooms, conference rooms, hallways, gymnasiums, lunchrooms, nurses’ rooms, stages, and lobbies.
* Perform daily cafeteria and event set-up as needed.
* Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors; clean and polish walls, windows, ceilings, and fixtures.
* Launder towels and mop heads; dust furniture, light fixtures, baseboards, desks, and equipment.
* Collect and dispose of trash across campus, including outdoor areas.
* Clean and sanitize restrooms daily.
* Perform routine maintenance tasks such as light bulb and filter changes.
* Maintain and service custodial equipment daily.
* Apply wax or sealers to floors as directed by the Head of Operations/Facilities Manager.
* Assist with campus security, including unlocking/locking doors and gates.
* Report supply needs to the Office Manager and facility repair needs to the Head of Operations/Facilities Manager.
* Safely operate custodial tools and equipment, including vacuums, floor buffers, carpet extractors, utility carts, and small power tools.
* Other duties as assigned.
** Minimum Qualifications
*** High School Diploma or GED
* At least 2 years of custodial or facilities experience (school environment preferred)
* Familiarity with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and safe chemical handling
* Ability to operate custodial equipment and tools (vacuums, floor buffer, carpet extractor, etc.)
* Team-oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to respond promptly to school facility needs and emergencies
