Position Highlights:
University Facility Services at the University of Arizona is looking for a Recycling Coordinator to join our Recycling team. This position will perform duties related to recycling functions, waste management, including trash hauling, pick‑up and delivery of materials, assistance to trade shops, site clean‑up, baling cardboard, sorting various materials for recycling such as white paper, newspaper, aluminum cans, plastics, etc. The role includes working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, driving a University vehicle and intense laborious workloads.
Shift Monday through Friday from 5:00am to 1:30pm. Overtime may be necessary on weekends based on campus needs.

Duties & Responsibilities- Drives a University vehicle and picks up and unloads materials and equipment at job sites.
- Picks up and delivers recycling containers throughout campus.
- Operates baler, compactor, power washer, and various vehicles.
- Sorts various materials for recycling.
- Cleans shops and job sites.
- Helps special projects/events move in, move out, football, TFOB, recycle mania, office clean outs, and renovations with hauling away materials.
- Maintains logs of recycled materials, weights, and quantities, and reports on recycling progress.
- May assist with inventory tracking and report issues related to material handling or equipment.
- Places and picks up barricades.
- Assists trade shops when needed.
- Installs campus signage and fencing.
- Assists with promotion and education of recycling program.
- Lifts or moves equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Works in all weather conditions, both indoors and outdoors.
Skills And Abilities
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to follow schedules and meet deadlines.
- High school diploma or equivalency.
- Ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy.
- Valid Arizona driver’s license upon employment.
- Prior experience working in a college/university setting.
- Prior experience working in recycling programs or waste removal.
- One year of experience in a recycling program.
- Forklift certified.
- Class A or B CDL.
Rate of Pay: $16.50 - $20.63 hourly. FLSA:
Non‑Exempt. Full Time. Job FTE: 1.0. Benefits Eligible:
