The Town of Marana is seeking a Public Works Maintenance Associate III to work Streets Division of the Public Works Department
. This is a full-time position and an exciting opportunity for someone interested in working in a fast-paced environment. The Public Works Department provides services that are vital to our community’s health, safety and comfort.

Hours of operation:
June 1 – October 1 / 5:00 am – 3:30 pm

October 2 – May 31 / 6:00 am – 4:30 pm

Mandatory rotating on-call.

$21.68 - $26.56 hourly

• Placement within the salary range is dependent on direct experience, internal equity and/or budget.

$21.68 - $31.44 hourly

• Performs routine skilled maintenance and/or landscaping tasks; uses a variety of hand and power tools; inspects, cleans, and performs routine maintenance work on truck and equipment; identifies and reports mechanical problems.
• Provides service to internal and external customers.
• Performs work duties and operates a variety of trucks and equipment in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures.
• Utilizes asset management software to track and manage work orders. Call, clear, and document Blue Stake.

• High school diploma or GED equivalency plus six months of additional education or training.
• Over three(3) years of street construction/maintenance experience or closely related field.
• Valid Arizona Driver License .
• Valid Class A CDL w/Tanker Endorsement and/or AZ Certified Pesticide Applicator or must obtain within 6 months of employment.
• Subject to random testing per DOT (FMCSA) requirements.

An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience that provides the desired knowledge, skills & abilities to successfully perform essential functions may be considered.

• Must pass a pre-employment physical, a 50-pound lift test, and audiogram.
• Ability to pass both the Town of Marana background check and a motor vehicle records check.

• Valid Arizona Class A CDL w/Tanker Endorsement or AZ Certified Pesticide Applicator
• Experience working in a Municipality/Government setting.
• Experience transporting and operating equipment: skid steer, loaders, gannon, backhoe, kick broom, and steel/rubber rollers.
• Experience with concrete and asphalt.
