This position assists the facilities manager in a variety of tasks to achieve a functional and pleasant outdoor area, providing a clean, safe, and attractive environment for residents and employees.

• Assists facilities manager in the general landscaping for Sabino Recovery property.
• Maintains grounds using all types of grounds-keeping equipment and tools.
• Sweeps, rakes, and cleans grounds.
• Prepares and grades terrain as needed; seeds and/or sods lawns; and transplants and plants shrubs, plants, and trees.
• Applies pesticides and fertilizers according to established standards.
• Mows and trims lawns, repairs established lawns, and plants new lawns.
• Maintains driveways and parking lots.
• Connects and maintains sprinkler equipment; waters lawn, flowerbeds, gardens, shrubs, and trees; installs new equipment and systems; repairs and maintains current irrigation equipment and systems as needed; and performs minor plumbing repairs.
• Assists maintenance mechanics in the servicing and repairs of machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Keeps drainage ditches and culverts free of obstructions; picks up trash and litter; removes trash bags from containers and replaces bags.
• Ensures compliance with established standards for appearance, repairs, and condition for facility.

• May drive a golf cart on facility property.
• Makes facilities manager aware of any damages or necessary repairs that need attention.

High school diploma or equivalent GED required.

Two (2) years of landscaping experience preferred.

Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card (can be obtained after hire).
