Tucson Assisted Living Retreat, a well-established 40-bed memory care community, seeks an experienced Executive Director to drive business growth and operational excellence.

Relocation assistance available. Temporary housing provided for qualified candidates relocating to Tucson, with potential for long-term arrangement for the right individual.

The Opportunity

Join a privately owned memory care community that values quality care and professional leadership. As Executive Director, you ll have full operational authority while working with a supportive owner who provides resources and trusts strong leaders to deliver results.

This role offers the autonomy of entrepreneurial leadership with the stability of an established facility. If you re a proven performer who excels at driving census, building teams, and delivering financial results - we want to talk.

Responsibilities Business Development & Marketing
  • Conduct community tours and manage the sales process from inquiry to move-in
  • Build and maintain referral relationships with hospitals, agencies, physicians, and community partners
  • Execute marketing strategies to drive census growth
  • Manage online reputation and community presence
Operations Management
  • Oversee all daily operations including clinical services, staffing, and resident care
  • Supervise management team and ensure accountability to performance standards
  • Maintain regulatory compliance with Arizona DHS and ALTCS requirements
  • Ensure exceptional resident and family satisfaction
  • Manage P&L with responsibility for revenue growth and expense control
  • Optimize labor costs while maintaining quality care standards
  • Provide regular financial reporting to ownership
  • Drive operational efficiency and profitability
  • Lead, develop, and hold accountable a management team
  • Foster culture of professionalism, accountability, and resident-centered care
  • Recruit and onboard team members as needed
  • Model excellence in all aspects of leadership
Required Qualifications
  • Arizona Assisted Living Manager certification OR RN license with ability to obtain certification within 90 days
  • Minimum 5 years senior living leadership experience with P&L responsibility
  • Demonstrated success in driving census growth in assisted living or memory care
  • Memory care/dementia care experience strongly preferred
  • Proven sales and marketing capabilities
  • Strong operational and financial management skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Bachelor s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
